My OH has been in hospital since last Tuesday and we hoped he would be home on Thursday but things did not go according to plan. Nothing serious just little things that delay being released from Cell Block 3.
So from day to day since Thursday I have been 'hovering' around the house waiting for the phone to ring with the good news that he can come home. Consequently I cannot settle down to doing anything which requires serious concentration such as writing of family history.
Well, at least the house appreciates it, because I go around looking into spots I have overlooked in recent months and cleaning them up. The white work is looking better for an extra wipe-over - but with my health history, knees and my inability to sustain energetic work for long periods because of my long illness as a child (no physiotherapy in those days) - after ten minutes I am fagged and have to rest. This is something others do not understand unless I explain it to them and sometimes I don't think I should have to.
Five minutes later ---
He'll be discharged this pm - great - and he feels a lot better after a good 6 hours sleep last night - something he hasn't had for years. Let's hope this op has cured the problem. Fingers crossed everyone. Amazing what ops they perform these days.
