Rich and Poor

Of course my previous Blog comes from the hymn many of us learnt at school and was written in 1848 - All things bright and beautiful:
The rich man in his castle,
The poor man at his gate,
GOD made them, high or lowly,
And ordered their estate.

Things haven't changed, have they. It is still a world filled with those who have and those who have not. I suppose anyone who has sufficient to eat and clothe themselves, and a roof over their heads are seen by some as 'rich men in their castle'.
But if you think of all the money and property accumulated over centuries, and today, and the way some people are so rich they can spend millions on considerable luxuries, such as their children's marriage, it does make one wonder whether this money wouldn't be better spent helping the 'have nots.'
