Welcome to my world

You who live in what to me is a foreign country and are reading this now, no doubt love the land of your birth as much as I love mine. To me England is a wonderful place to live. Not perfect, because just like the imperfect people we all are, no place is perfect. Here we complain about the weather, or the amount of tax we are paying, or the cost of living, or the politicians, or foreigners.

Not only was I born in England but I chose to live here. After 15 years of living in a country which was beautiful, had better weather, lower tax and cost of living, and where  life was good; but it was not good for all and the politics were foul, and so I chose to return to England and have never regretted it.

Here the people speak my language, the culture and countryside are familiar, and I am free to speak my mind which I wasn't when I lived abroad. Yes, I know we have things to be ashamed of in our history, and things are not perfect  but right now, to me, this is the greatest place in the world to live.

I expect you feel the same about your country. But if you don't and you choose to come and live in my country, all I would ask is that you don't try to impose your religion, politics and views on me and that you adopt our way of life. That way we shall get on perfectly well.
