Mothers

Whether you realise it or not your mother knows more about you than you would like to admit.
She knows all your faults and goes on loving you regardless - for she has known and loved you longer than anyone else in the world.

She loves and accepts you (although she might not like you at times) and defends you, even when she knows you are wrong, and she also tries to  hide your imperfections from the world.

It can be an ambivilant relationship because she can read you like a book and, regardless of her height, she stands gazing down kindly upon you, and you know she is wordlessly judging you.
And while she lives you know she understands you, and your weaknesses and character faults which you keep hidden from the world, and you know you  disappoint her, but she makes allowances for you.

Her presence is always there as a constant reminder that she is really the only one who really understands you, and forgives you. She sees through the public veil you have built round you to protect your inner self from the world. And you know, she knows, you are not the perfect human you try to make the world believe you are.
