Lead singer of the popular band Churches, Lauren Mayberry, wants you to know that domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, including her. Recently, Lauren shared her personal experience with abuse publicly, with an important message to spotlight: Just because someone doesn't hit you, doesn't mean that they're aren't hurting you.

We're so thankful for Lauren's courage in speaking out and shedding light on emotional abuse, the hidden signs and the deeply damaging emotional scars that it leaves. Indeed, domestic violence includes psychological violence and emotional abuse, which are too often overlooked, excused and minimized. That's why we're asking for your help to continue this important conversation around emotional abuse by making sure Lauren's story is heard.
