Recovering in hospital from major surgery has given me time to read the news in its various forms. The antics of some MPs at Westminster really makes me ashamed of the behaviour of a House full of people who represent us and behave badly or remain silent at what they see happening around them. Such behaviour does not encourage us to respect Parliament and it's representatives.
Those who believe that because of their position they can behave just as it suits them should be named and shamed and their behaviour drawn to the people who chose and elected them. Do they approve of such behaviour?
Does anyone behave decently these days? And by decent I mean - behave in a manner which does not make the rest of us cringe when we hear of the arrogance of some MPs. It leads many of us to believe we are represented, in some cases, by the dregs of humanity.
Women in Parliament have been subjected with misogynism within the Chamber, and in front of the Speaker. Such disresrepect should be publicised openly and repeatedely. It
is time something was done to raise the standards of our MPs and our female representatives should not feel harassed because of their sex while trying to make their views heard.
As for some MPs using their position to sexually harass young men - surely such behaviour and the person concerned is beneath beneath contempt! Shun them!
Name and shame and throw them out before the British Parliament becomes the laughing stock of the world.
