. . . And it is much like yesterday. Hardworking and considerably, one might say, overworked nursing staff and understaffing again.
Really - this is taking the nursing staff's dedication to duty too far - and so far as I am concerned no one is doing anything to relieve them. Least of all you!
I can hear lunch being served and I am still waiting for someone to help me wash and make my bed but the too few staff have to get their priorities right. Attention to those who need dressings done and special care. I understand.
So apart from taking advantage of the staff what are you doing to relieve the pressure on them, Mr Hunt. What are you waiting for? A complete break-down of staff and the NHS and what then? Privatise? Oh, I forgot. We have a capitalist government in charge. One which apparently does not value those who are the very back bone of our hospital care. That, it seems to me is what you are aiming for and you will have a job persuading me otherwise.
But what the hell. I am just a patient who has to put up with the standards set by you.
Now, should I have a go at making my own bed? Somehow I don't think my surgeon would approve!
