Let me tell you about my wonderful daughter who has truly been through the Valley of the Shadow for many years and particularly in the last 19 months when depression overtook her. Her experiences over the previous twenty years saw her knocked down time and time again, and I don't think many realise the strength it took to pick herself up each time.
Despite her parents separating she grew up in a stable home filled with love and was quite unused to the unkindness, anger and violence she received from someone she thought loved her but whose only thought was for self.
At last she is coming out of that Valley and is slowly walking back into the sunshine and is beginning to experience the love and life she deserves, and I consider myself privileged to be amongst those who love her for the wonderful person she is and for being given the opportunity to support her through the worst of times, and who was there for her when she needed me.
