How to waste time

Bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for our computers - have spent at least three hours trying to get both keyboards to work (mouse is OK) - eventually phoned the retailer to ask for help - was told several times to press the non-existant Connect button on the bottom of the keyboard. Eventually told to take it back to the store because BOTH keyboards appear to be faulty!!! How's that for luck?
