Gone but not forgotten - the story of a life

Walter Herbert Barrett born 1889 Islington
In 1911, like his father, he was a furniture upholsterer
Joined up 16 December 1914 - Honourable Attiller Company
Died of Pneumonia 22 September 1915 after contracting pleurisy a few days earlier.
When he died his belongings were sent home to his sister Edith.
Identity disc
Gold ring
Metal wristwatch
Gospel of St John
2 Hat bages
2 Shoulder badges
Diary
Packet of letters and photos
1 piece of shrapnel
Coin and purse
Watch strap
He does not belong to me but I wonder - does anyone remember him, or is he just another forgotten soldier?
