Christmas hypocrites

If you are a Christian - by all means celebrate Christmas but PLEASE if you are not a Christian - don't.

Christians celebrate it for a reason - the birth of Christ - so their beliefs are amongst the things they do over Christmas. They do not say - Christmas is for the children.

To non-Christians who 'celebrate' Christmas: Just be honest and admit to yourselves, friends, neighbours and relations, and everyone else, including your children, that you use it as an excuse to over indulge with drink, food and presents.

Go on, spoil your children who in any case will have no idea why Christmas is being celebrated - because you have never explained it to them. They will soon get the idea that Christmas is a time when they can get whatever they want if they hint enough. Don't want to disappoint the little loves.

Then after it is all over - usually not until the New Year - count up the cost and ask yourselves why you thought it was such a good idea to spend so much money to celebrate a Christian event which you didn't believe in, especially when you had enough money problems before?
It's like being caught up in a crowd of lemmings and being carried mindlessly along until you fall over the end of the cliff. Bah, humbug to the lot of you.
