Joining the material world

Well I suppose I did that years ago - but we do not keep up with adding and changing everything we use just because it is there.
As an example - our mobile phone, which is several years old, is rarely switched on - and our phone calls from and to it virtually nil, so much so that we have to remember to phone home occasionally to make sure it doesn't become locked. We cannot take pictures on it - I carry a camera for that - I write emails from home - so don't text. I'm happy with that.
Anyway tomorrow I think we shall adding a couple of laptops so I suppose that makes us a little more materially minded. Why do we need laptops? Well Joe has been having trouble with his computer and backing up recently - annoying because he does a lot of editing. The problem he uses is complicated and works better if it has sole use of the computer. So once he has backed up everything it will be transferred to the lap top and the PC will be wiped, and windows reinstalled and the PC only used for his video editing. So, hopefully, that will be him sorted.
So what's my excuse. Sorry about this Joe, but when you are having problems and I am trying to write, the sighs and groans coming from your part of the rooms means that I feel compelled to offer help - thus interupting my train of thought. If I have my writing on a laptaop I can go elsewhere- where I cannot hear you, and I can then lose myself in what I am doing.
But then I shall miss your sighs and groans and will then be forced to return, because I love you.
