BBC fact of the day - Amathophobia is the fear of dust . . .

Yes, I suffer from this quite badly - which is the reason I just let it lie around the place, undisturbed. Let sleeping dogs lie is my motto - why disturb it?

'The dust comes secretly day after day,
Lies on my ledge and dulls my shining things.
But O this dust that I shall drive away
Is flowers and kings
Is Solomon's temple, poets, Ninevah!'
(From 'Dusting; by Viola Meynell (Mrs John Dalleyn)

Personally, I have no wish to disturb anything or anyone - so I just leave it all in peace and hope it will do me the same service.
